I want Trump to be crowned as king, and I don’t care who knows it. I don’t want him to be king because I think he is perfect; I want him to be crowned so we can stop pretending that he isn’t a king while he governs like one for four years.
Many who are not familiar with monarchy believe a monarch can easily create or dispense laws. This is not the case for modern monarchies.
The most powerful attraction of monarchy today is leadership above politics, which is something that a critical mass of the body politic can rally around.
Monarchy does not fit within the American political tradition, nor is it the only form of good government, as some traditionalists suggest.
