Friday Free-for-All: Dinner Round-Up

PUBLISHED ON

September 17, 2010

Last night’s Partnership Dinner was a great success — so successful, in fact, that we’re all going to be a little slow out of the gate this morning. So rather than the usual Friday round-up, I thought I’d share a few shots from the evening:

Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the Susan B. Anthony List, spoke about leadership before introducing a great leader, Bishop Vasa.

Bishop Vasa gave an excellent talk on the role of the bishop and the bishops’ conference (spoiler: the bishops’ conference does not control the bishops). Joseph Susanka summed up Bishop Vasa with a great compliment: “He’s a priest” — humble, pastoral, and very engaging. (We’ll try and share his remarks here soon.)

And finally, a great shot of the band. The music was fantastic, and the dancing even better. I think Deal had to be dragged off the dance floor.

Thanks to everyone who was able to join us for another wonderful event!
