All the Right People Hate Trump

The legacy media, the elite academy, the Democratic Party, and the national security state all hate Trump, and they hate him because they hated us first.

The first thing to know is that Kamala is both stupid and evil.

She can barely cackle out a coherent thought. Her mind is a confused jumble of platitudes and tics. What’s more, hardly anyone likes her. She could scarcely keep a staff together as Vice President.

As for evil, she favors abortion through all nine months and even beyond. She favors evil doctors butchering the healthy genitals of boys and girls. She favors jailing pro-lifers, and she will jail more of us. And she is all in on censorship. She will try to silence us. She will go after platforms—like X—that give us the freedom to speak.

Orthodox. Faithful. Free.

Recently, Donald Trump has not only stepped into but appears to have leaped into a stinking pile of political, policy, and moral dog doo. I believe he genuinely believes he achieved all that we asked of him: to send abortion back to the states, something that Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and George W. Bush never did and likely never really thought about.

But he has made a huge mistake in thinking that’s all there is and that is all we want. On IVF, I am quite sure he does not know or is not convinced of how monstrous it is. We have done a lousy job of explaining this to people, too. So, it is partly our fault. It is like arguing about the evils of contraception, something difficult for even our evangelical friends to understand.

On the abortion question, it is clear that we were caught flat-footed. We have lost election after election about the issue in the states. You can hardly blame Trump for seeing this and believing this is where the country is. Though he was the most pro-life president we ever had, I don’t think any of us ever thought Trump was a convicted pro-lifer. He danced with the ones who brought him, and he never cared about elite abortion opinions. But now, it appears to him that the country is speaking, and it is not with us, not so far anyway.

My fear has been that our country would settle on 14 or 15 weeks as they have in much of Europe, with decisions arrived at through elected legislatures and not through court fiat. Because of this, the pro-life movement in Europe has never gained any real traction.

However, I also believe that Trump listens and cares about what people think, including friends like us.

As I said in 2016, no matter what, we will have a place at the table when policy decisions are made. That remains true today. No matter how much Trump badmouths Project 2025, of which I played a part, the president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, a true-blue pro-lifer, will be there. So will pro-life hero Leonard Leo, the “dark-money lord” the Left has come to hate and fear.

And we should also watch who gets appointed to what. The Secretary of Health and Human Services just might be a friend of ours, just might be a movement pro-lifer. Same with the U.S. Agency for International Development. Same with the Domestic Policy Council, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., the Secretary of State, and much else.

Consider this. There is an issue that has risen very close to the importance of life issues. On this issue, Trump stands with us shoulder to shoulder because he has borne the brunt of this leftist attack, and that is the national security state’s efforts to silence political speech.

All across the globe, governments are cracking down on what they call “misinformation, disinformation, mal-information.” They are cracking down on what they call “hate speech.” And they are weaponizing governments to go after their political foes.

France has arrested the founder of Telegram. Brazil has closed down X and has told its citizens they will be heavily fined if they try to connect to X through VPNs. The Biden administration is pushing foreign governments to go after “anti-LGBT” critics. They say that scientific truths about the child in the womb are misinformation. The U.N. is now pushing a campaign against what they call “anti-rights” groups.

We have said all along that the right to life is the first right. Close behind is the right to speak. If they take away our right to speak, then how will we defend the child in the womb and the children preyed upon by malicious mutilating doctors?

Kamala is on record favoring such censorship. She has played a role in the Biden-Harris attempt to globalize hate speech laws. On this issue, she is evil. On abortion, she is evil. On all the social issues, she is evil. With Trump, it appears we have ongoing work to do. But I am reminded of a quote from one of my old bosses at Fortune magazine, “If it was easy, they wouldn’t need (expletive deleted) like us.”

Finally, remember this. All the right people hate Trump: the legacy media, the elite academy, the Democratic Party, the national security state. They hate him because they hated us first. The choice between Kamala and Trump is crystal clear.
