Catholics Return to the GOP

PUBLISHED ON

November 3, 2010

CNN national exit polling reports this morning that Catholic voters returned to the GOP yesterday. By an eight point spread, 53 percent to 45 percent, Catholics supported GOP candidates around the nation.

These numbers basically are a reversal of  the 2008 presidential results.

As I predicted in my pre-election comment for Catholic Advocate, Catholics were going to “repent” for their support of Obama and the Democratic Party agenda.

Orthodox. Faithful. Free.

And repent, they did.

New and incumbent pro-life Catholic candidates were elected. Catholic members of Congress, all Democrats who supported Obamacare, were defeated.

Steve Driehaus (D-OH) who attempted to put Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the SBA List, in jail for telling the truth about his support of federally funded abortion, lost by a large margin.

I will be publishing a comprehensive analysis of the Catholic vote in the 2010 mid-term elections tomorrow morning at the American Spectator.
