Bring Back Slut and Whore?

Sometimes, the good old words are the only words that will do. Those are harsh words in the headline, aren’t they? They shock. They scold. They have meaning.

There are a couple of slutty whores parading around our internet world. One goes by the name of Bonnie Blue. The other is Lily Phillips. Now Bonnie Blue is down at Spring Break somewhere catting around. She has a couple of tramps with her. And the boys are acting like animals around them. Bonnie is going to “sleep” with as many as she can. Bonnie has also been spotted at an old folk’s home where she is seen climbing on the laps of ancient men she says are her fans. She has offered herself to them. 

Both Bonnie and Lily are “content creators” on a disgusting site called OnlyFans, where some girls are making millions of dollars fleecing the pockets of stupid, weak, and piggish men. Recall that Andrew Tate has made millions on this kind of trash. This is the dark world of whores and sluts and pimps. 

A young woman just won an Oscar for acting in the role of a whore. She said from the Oscar stage that she salutes the “sex worker” community. Mary Rose Somarriba, editor of the excellent magazine Verily, has an insightful essay on the movie at the Institute for Family Studies. Her insight is that the conceit of the film is that there is hope for a whore that one of her disgusting johns will marry her and take her away. This is like the awful movie “Pretty Woman” only in this one, the prostitute gets stiffed. She sold her body, gave away her heart and her hope and then is crushed. 

Somarriba wisely tells us that this is comparable to the bargain many young women make today: moving in with a boyfriend, coming across with all the sex that she may not want to give, with the hope that he will commit to marriage one day. This usually ends up as sad as what happens to Anora in the Oscar-winning movie; that is, he gets what he wants and moves on to his next prey. 

Sex work and sex worker are too sanitized for what they is. In truth, this is a form of sexual slavery, offering up your most intimate parts of yourself in exchange for cash. Now, we know for certain that many women are forced into this, and our stomachs churn. In that case, whore is the wrong word, slut is the wrong word, but then so is sex worker. Slave is the best term. 

I could be wrong, but I do not believe anyone is holding a gun to Bonnie Blue’s or Lily Phillips’s heads. They are clearly slaves to their passions. On one podcast, Bonnie Blue says she thinks about sex about every ten minutes. 

I used to be a smoker. I was a slave to it. I sometimes smoked three cigarettes before I got out of bed in the morning. Smoking away one morning, sitting along the Hudson River, a guy rode past on his bike. He leaned way down as he passed and said, “Toxin addict.” That was harsh. Note that it remains with me to this day, now a nonsmoker of several decades. Sometimes harshness works; harsh judgment works. 

I know it would be practically impossible for Mary Rose and others to use such harsh terms as whore and slut. I wouldn’t want my daughters to use such words. These words are not ladylike. They are practically pornographic. But as in all things of the sexual left, they do not want people to know what really happens. They hide the thing behind a new word or phrase, and with that also goes the real thing, the horrendous thing that really happens. They have Mary Rose and you and me in a bind. 

Make no mistake, I do not withhold judgment on the hundreds of men who have taken their turn with Bonnie and Lily and all the rest. I wish we had a term that was harsher than “John.” They are filthy pigs. We are living in a very dark time. Come, Lord Jesus.
