Last week, the White House published the Counterterrorism (CT) Strategy for 2026. In a significant shift from the Biden-Harris administration, which had “plott[ed] against conservative Catholics attending traditional mass in Virginia, parents standing up for their children at school board meetings, Members of Congress…,” the document designates transgender ideology as a significant threat to domestic security.
It is widely acknowledged that the LGBTQ+ lobby has achieved significant success over the past twenty years in their efforts against the family institution, notably by persuading the federal government to redefine marriage to encompass same-sex couples, recognizing transgenderism as a human right even for minors, and permitting gay and lesbian couples to adopt children, among other actions. This aligns with what the CT Strategy designates as domestic terrorism, which the second Trump administration has aimed to mitigate.
Since his return to the White House, President Donald Trump has not only decreed that there are only two sexes—male and female—but he has also enacted executive measures that classify “gender ideology extremism” and related concepts as matters for the Justice Department and relevant agencies to tackle. Additionally, internal directives and budgetary provisions have explicitly labeled transgender activists and “gender ideology” as forms of domestic terrorism—the phrase “gender ideology” replaces the biological understanding of sex with a fluid concept of self-identified gender identity. This leads to the misleading claim that males can identify as females and vice versa, while also requiring that all societal institutions recognize this false claim as legitimate.

PBS, which was propelled by President Lyndon Baines Johnson (in office 1963-1969) to galvanize the Democratic Party’s progressive issues, brought the popular Sesame Street to billions of children throughout the world for decades. The Sesame Workshop and Sesame Street initially refrained from depicting any same-sex couples or references to nontraditional relationships due to societal and political pressures experienced during the 20th century and the early years of the 21st century.
In 2017, however, it subtly concocted ways to undermine the fact that both a father and a mother contribute unique parenting styles that complement each other. Indeed, children require and gain from the different types of love provided by moms and dads, which enhances their development and aids in the formation of a healthy self-identity. PBS has altogether challenged the fact that a lack of a father is frequently associated with behavioral problems in boys and premature sexual behavior in girls by imposing LGBTQ+ ideas upon them with the song “We All Sing with the Same Voice,” which includes the line, “I’ve got one daddy, I’ve got two.”
The Sesame Workshop and Sesame Street have also commemorated LGBTQ+ Pride Month each year on their social media platforms, sharing various Pride-related posts on 𝕏, Instagram, and Facebook throughout June. These posts frequently incorporate the imagery of the rainbow or pride flag, accompanied by messages that advocate for families and love in “all shapes, sizes, and colors.”
Children have been exposed to the popular Elmo celebrating Arab Heritage Month, while reducing Easter Sunday to an egg hunt—God forbid the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is mentioned! Even worse was the character Rudy acknowledging a picture of a homosexual couple by counting the two daddies in the photo and, in a 2020 Big Bird’s Road Trip segment, a girl from the State of Georgia sharing a picture of her two mommies.
Trump ended funding for PBS with an executive order, though it was temporarily blocked by a federal judge. The president has actually taken on this domestic terrorism against children with the Executive Order on Protecting Children from Surgical and Chemical Mutilation Executive Summary, which has kept parents and legal guardians from using federal funds to biologically alter their children’s sex.

Early in his term, President Joe Biden issued a presidential memorandum directing all U.S. agencies operating overseas to ensure that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance were aimed at promoting the human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals. The memorandum specifically called for U.S. leadership in the global decriminalization of consensual same-sex activities, the protection of LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers, and the advancement of nondiscrimination protections that include sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, and sex characteristics. Furthermore, Biden appointed a Special Envoy, Jessica Stern, whose role was exclusively dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ human rights.
Biden took significant steps by utilizing USAID to allocate foreign aid for the implementation of LGBTQ+ projects, increasing funding for programming from $6 million in 2021 to $25 million in 2024. At this funding level, USAID emerged as the second largest global donor to initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in developing countries, which included enhancing the understanding of menstruation cycles among transgender women.
Last year, President Trump temporarily froze nearly all foreign aid and canceled thousands of aid work contracts to USAID.
This does not absolve President Trump of his political and personal deficiencies. Moreover, he has the potential to achieve significantly more in the pro-life movement by granting constitutional rights to embryos. However, all factors considered, it is important to acknowledge that, at the very least, in confronting certain harmful agendas of the LGBTQ+ lobby, we stand a better chance of countering this adversarial campaign against the cornerstone of civilization—the family institution, which is founded on the union between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation and child-rearing.
Could someone please tell Pope Leo XIV, the College of Cardinals, and the USCCB about this. Maybe they could not only support the President in his fight to bring back common sense Christian morals to our great nation, but, who knows, they all might learn something from this President to do the same for the Catholic Church. Miracles do happen.
God bless President Trump! He may be “obnoxious,” but that may be what it takes to cut through all the BS in politics, culture and religion!
His efforts to restore sanity (and virtue!) to our country could be helped immeasurably if he had more obvious support and appreciation from Catholic Church leaders for the sane and virtuous policies he does promote.
Instead, our Church leaders seem more focused on harping on their perceived Trump faults and promoting their own heterodoxy like the Synod’s recently published full-fledged endorsement of the homosexual lifestyle in the Final Report of Study Group Number 9 which is shocking the Catholic world!
Trump displays a lot more virtue than the perpetrators of that heretical and outrageous document.
